India Says It Will Work With Switzerland to Help Ease Iran–US Tensions

India will cooperate with Switzerland in efforts to reduce tensions between Iran and the United States, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said.

Modi said New Delhi was prepared to work with Switzerland to support efforts aimed at easing tensions between Tehran and Washington and promoting dialogue.

The remarks underscore India’s growing diplomatic engagement on issues involving Iran and the United States, as New Delhi seeks to encourage peaceful solutions to regional and international disputes.

Switzerland has traditionally played a role in facilitating diplomatic contacts between countries that do not maintain direct diplomatic relations, including serving as a channel of communication between Washington and Tehran.

Modi’s comments came as international efforts continue to lower tensions between Iran and the United States and create conditions for dialogue.
